Long Island Personal Trainer Speaks on the Art of Trying Something New
It’s not unheard of to see people doing the same routines over and over again yet expect a different and greater result.
That is simple the definition of insanity.
In life, fitness, business, relationships, etc it’s great to do repetition and create a routine. However, if you want to “grow” as a person, you have to constantly be adding or making tweaks to those routines.
Sometimes trying something new can freak you out and create a closed mind. A closed mind is the most expensive/useless item you can own.
For example, Coach Greg had a closed mind on pedicures. Felt it wasn’t going to serve him at all. It freaked him out to be a man in a female dominated market. Yet when he went with his girlfriend yesterday afternoon, his mind opened up.
Aside from keeping your feet clean, moisturized, and in a good hygiene status, he experienced that his tensed fascia (soft tissue outlining the muscle) in his foot was released and dry skin disappeared. To him this meant less pain in his arch while running and no more split skin that hurt with every step.
Just from that simple story I share with you is invaluable. Go out and try something new this week related to your health. Do not do it blindly. Do your due diligence and find something that makes you uncomfortable and try it out.
You may find something to incorporate into your daily, weekly, or monthly life routine that can assist you in an area of your health.
For example, many people fear that burning sensation of the muscle they get while working out. Yet that reaching that point is what makes the body more efficient and a calorie burning machine.

Otherwise, research something on your own to try out.
For the next 7 days I ask you to try something new related to your health. Below in the comment box write down a few possibilities of what you will try out. This will hold you accountable by letting people know.
As always…
