Pushups For Charity

Remember in my P.S. to you I mentioned I had big news?

Well a pushup has the power to make a child’s wish come true who has a life threatening illness. Imagine the power behind that statement.

We are part of an elite mastermind group of other fitness businesses nationwide. We all agreed to team up and do pushups on the same day for 2 reasons.

1. To create awareness for fitness
2. To raise over $1 million for Make A Wish Foundation in 2010.

The Make A Wish headquarters is excited for this event but in a sense wants us to prove it that we have the power to do what we say we can do as a group. Throwing out a $1 million goal is a stretch but realistic and we will do everything in our power to make it happen.

Just to give you an idea of how we will raise that amount, there are pushup participants and sponsors. Pushup participants will do as many pushups as they can and their sponsors will donate $0.50-$1 for each pushup they do.

Pushups For Charity Big Picture Strategy:

25 participants X 20 sponsors each = 500

500 people donating X 30 pushups on average = 15,000 donations

15,000 X $0.50 each = $7,500 raised for charity

15,000 X $1.00 each = $15,000 raised for charity

Just with some basic math and conservative numbers each Fitness business can raise up to $15,000. Between 100 businesses nationwide we can break that $1 million goal.

Ever since Breakthroughs To Fitness started contributing to society on a charitable basis, we have become more connected and passionate about giving. It feels great to give back and to see a smile on someone’s face…especially a child who has a life threatening illness and all they want to do is fulfill one wish.

We will release more information on the event, the date, and time. For now we just wanted to make the announcement and rally up support for this wonderful cause.

Dedicated to your results,

Rahsheen Slaughter
