Great tips. I can admit there were times in my lifting career that I didn;t follow these steps and times when I did. Everytime I winged it or just worked out how I felt, the results were simply not there. I went in blind. To be honest, it was a complete (well not complete) but inefficient use of my time.
We were just talking earlier how back in the day before a football game, we would eat snikers bars or horrible pre workout fuel which affected our performance. This meal is so key and will determine the intensity and benefits of the workout.
Warm-ups as you stated are a strong point in the B2F training system. I can remember in college where I would just get under the bar and start cranking out my reps. At a young age, you don’t notice the effects, but as the body matures, it is so key to warm up properly in a multi-dimensional pattern. As a society we are too narrow focused and 1 dimensional.
Thanks for the post Coach Rahz, because this touches upon the success of our readers. Let’s give them what we got and show them a neuromuscular activation warm up as well as some dynamic movements to get the blood flowing and joints well prepared.
